Mobu Enterprises™ is the flagship parent company and brand umbrella for 13 integrated divisions. Founded in 2018 by CEO Jessica Lewis in Macon, Georgia, Mobu Enterprises operates under Trust of AFLT and is dedicated to one mission: Save Our Community, Save Our Planet. The company designs, builds, and delivers carbon-negative, wellness-centric communities from up-cycled ISO shipping containers — structures that are stronger than traditional wood-frame homes, faster to build, and dramatically more sustainable.
The US faces a dual crisis: a housing shortage of 3.8 million units and a climate emergency demanding radical reductions in construction-related carbon emissions. Mobu Enterprises addresses both simultaneously. By repurposing decommissioned shipping containers — of which over 17 million sit idle globally — the company eliminates the need for virgin steel and concrete while delivering resilient, net-zero homes at a fraction of traditional costs.
Mobu Global Real Estate™ develops, sells, and manages container-based residential and commercial properties across the United States and internationally. From single-family wellness pods to multi-unit container villages and commercial campuses, this division handles the full real estate lifecycle — site selection, permitting, construction, and sale or lease.
Traditional real estate development is slow, expensive, and carbon-intensive. Container-based real estate can be delivered 30–50% faster, at 20–40% lower cost, and with a fraction of the environmental footprint. For communities in underserved areas, this means access to quality, permanent housing that was previously out of reach.
Mobu Agriculture™ transforms decommissioned shipping containers into high-yield, climate-controlled vertical farms. Using advanced hydroponic and aeroponic growing systems, each Mobu Grow Pod produces up to 9,000 lbs of fresh produce annually while using 95% less water than traditional soil farming. These farms can be deployed in urban food deserts, rural communities, schools, and alongside Mobu Wellness Communities to create true food sovereignty.
Over 34 million Americans live in food deserts — areas with limited access to fresh, affordable produce. Traditional agriculture is also the world's largest consumer of freshwater and a leading contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. Container vertical farms solve both problems: they grow food where people live, use minimal water, require no pesticides, and produce zero agricultural runoff.
Mobu Education & Workforce™ provides hands-on construction training, green building certification programs, and workforce development pathways specifically designed for veterans, returning citizens, and individuals from underserved communities. Participants gain real-world skills in container conversion, solar installation, hydroponic farming, and sustainable construction — skills that translate directly into employment within the Mobu ecosystem and the broader green economy.
The US construction industry faces a shortage of 650,000 workers (Associated Builders and Contractors, 2024). Simultaneously, veterans and returning citizens face disproportionately high unemployment rates. Mobu Education & Workforce bridges this gap by creating a pipeline of trained green builders who are employed in building the very communities they will live in — creating economic dignity alongside physical infrastructure.
Mobu Manufacturing™ handles the in-house fabrication and production of the components that go into every Mobu build. By manufacturing key elements — including modular wall panels, hemp insulation batts, custom container frames, and prefabricated utility cores — Mobu controls quality at every stage and eliminates the cost markups of third-party suppliers. This vertical integration is a key competitive advantage that allows Mobu to deliver higher-quality builds at lower prices.
Most construction companies rely entirely on third-party suppliers, creating cost volatility, quality inconsistencies, and supply chain vulnerabilities. By manufacturing core components in-house, Mobu Manufacturing™ ensures that every build meets the same exacting standards while keeping costs predictable and margins sustainable.
Mobu Logistics™ manages the full supply chain for container acquisition, transport, and site placement. From sourcing decommissioned containers at ports and depots to coordinating flatbed trucking, crane placement, and final site preparation, Mobu Logistics ensures that every container arrives on time, on budget, and in the right condition. The division also manages the logistics of Mobu's manufacturing supply chain, coordinating materials from suppliers to fabrication facilities.
Container logistics is one of the most complex and cost-sensitive aspects of container construction. Improper sourcing can result in structurally compromised containers; poor transport coordination can add weeks and thousands of dollars to a project. Mobu Logistics™ eliminates these risks by owning the process from start to finish.
Mobu Energy™ designs and installs solar energy systems, battery storage solutions, and off-grid power infrastructure for every Mobu build. Each standard Mobu unit is equipped with rooftop solar panels capable of generating up to 500 kWh of clean energy per month — enough to power the unit and contribute surplus energy back to the community grid. For off-grid deployments, Mobu Energy pairs solar with lithium battery banks and backup generators to ensure 24/7 power reliability.
Energy costs are the single largest ongoing expense for most homeowners and businesses. By generating power on-site from solar, Mobu residents can reduce or eliminate their utility bills entirely. At the community scale, shared solar microgrids create energy resilience — communities remain powered even during grid outages, which are becoming more frequent due to extreme weather events.
Mobu Motors™ provides electric vehicle (EV) solutions, sustainable transportation options, and fleet management services for Mobu communities and commercial clients. From personal EVs and golf carts for community residents to commercial delivery vehicles and construction fleet electrification, Mobu Motors ensures that the transportation layer of every Mobu community is as green as the buildings themselves.
Transportation accounts for 29% of US greenhouse gas emissions — the largest single sector (EPA, 2023). For a wellness community to be truly net-zero, its transportation must be clean. Mobu Motors closes this loop by providing residents with affordable EV access, charging infrastructure, and fleet solutions that eliminate fossil fuel dependency at the community level.
Mobu Roofing™ specializes in roofing solutions engineered specifically for shipping container structures. Standard roofing products and techniques are not designed for the unique geometry and structural characteristics of containers. Mobu Roofing has developed proprietary systems for container roof waterproofing, insulation, green roof installation, and solar-ready roofing that maximize the performance and longevity of every Mobu build.
The roof is the most critical envelope component of any structure — and container roofs present unique challenges. The corrugated steel surface expands and contracts with temperature changes, creating stress points that can lead to leaks if not properly addressed. Mobu Roofing's specialized systems eliminate these vulnerabilities while adding value through green roofs (which reduce urban heat island effect and manage stormwater) and solar-ready configurations.
Mobu Telecom™ designs and deploys telecommunications infrastructure for Mobu communities — ensuring that every resident has access to high-speed internet, reliable cellular connectivity, and smart community technology systems. From fiber optic backbone installation to community-wide Wi-Fi mesh networks and IoT sensor systems for building management, Mobu Telecom makes every community a connected, smart community.
The digital divide is a major barrier to economic opportunity. Over 21 million Americans lack access to broadband internet (FCC, 2023), and this gap is most severe in the rural and underserved communities that Mobu serves. By building connectivity infrastructure into every community from day one, Mobu Telecom ensures that residents can access remote work opportunities, online education, telehealth services, and the digital economy.
Mobu Insurance™ provides property and casualty insurance products specifically designed for container-based structures. Standard homeowners and commercial property insurance policies were written for traditional wood-frame and masonry construction — they often exclude or undervalue container structures, leaving owners exposed. Mobu Insurance fills this gap with policies that accurately reflect the value, durability, and unique characteristics of container builds.
Container homeowners frequently discover that their standard insurance policy does not cover their structure, or covers it at a fraction of its actual value. This creates significant financial risk. Mobu Insurance eliminates this vulnerability by providing purpose-built coverage that protects the full investment — from the container structure itself to the solar systems, hydroponic equipment, and smart home technology inside.
Mobu Life Insurance™ provides life insurance products designed to help Mobu community members and workforce participants protect their families and build generational wealth. From term life policies that provide affordable death benefit protection to whole life and indexed universal life policies that accumulate cash value over time, Mobu Life Insurance offers a range of products tailored to the financial realities and goals of the communities Mobu serves.
Life insurance ownership rates are significantly lower among Black Americans and low-income households — the communities most likely to be served by Mobu. This gap in coverage leaves families financially vulnerable and perpetuates cycles of poverty. Mobu Life Insurance addresses this directly by making life insurance accessible, understandable, and affordable for community members who have historically been underserved by the financial services industry.
Mobu Gold™ provides access to precious metals investment — primarily gold and silver — as a wealth-building and portfolio diversification tool for Mobu community members and investors. Gold has served as a store of value for over 5,000 years and is widely recognized as a hedge against inflation, currency devaluation, and economic uncertainty. Mobu Gold makes this asset class accessible to everyday investors who want to build lasting financial security through tangible, physical assets.
Inflation erodes the purchasing power of cash savings over time. For communities that have historically been excluded from traditional wealth-building vehicles like stocks and real estate, precious metals offer an accessible, tangible alternative. Gold's performance during economic downturns — it gained 25% during the 2008 financial crisis — makes it a particularly valuable component of a diversified wealth strategy for communities with limited financial safety nets.
